Dear Dance Teachers,
In every beginning, there is something sacred.
Dance education is not shaped only on stage or in moments of performance. It is shaped daily—quietly—in studios, classrooms, and in the relationship between teacher and student. It is there that values are transmitted, responsibility is assumed, and artistic culture is formed.
Through NOJA Dance Education – Mentorship for Dance Teachers, I wish to offer a space dedicated to you: a space for reflection, dialogue, and professional responsibility, beyond competition results, rankings, and immediate performance expectations.
This mentorship is grounded in the principles of Verticality—understood as axis, values, ethical responsibility, and artistic coherence in dance education. Verticality is not a method, nor a system. It is a conscious position from which we teach, choose, and guide.
The mentorship was created as a free educational platform, offered as a professional contribution to the dance teaching community. It is not a course, an evaluation, or a certification. It does not correct or standardize teaching. Instead, it invites reflection, awareness, and long-term vision in the formation of young dancers.
Teaching dance means carrying responsibility—for the body, the mind, and the future of those entrusted to us. In an environment increasingly driven by speed, visibility, and results, I believe it is essential to preserve ethical clarity, age-appropriate development, and artistic coherence.
The mentorship takes place in small groups, through guided dialogue and shared professional experience. It exists independently of competitions and has no influence on rankings or jury decisions. Its purpose is to support teachers as conscious transmitters of technique, culture, and responsibility.
This letter is an open invitation to those who feel aligned with these values—to approach dance education not only as a profession, but as a position of responsibility.
With professional respect,
Simona Noja Nebyla
